Seriously, I use this in everything that even resembles something Italian ! And since I’m busy finishing up DIY stuff to post, I’ll give you this quickie.
I’m sure you can buy this somewhere, but why. You’ve probably already got most of the ingredients in your spice rack anyway. Get yourself a sweet little spice jar, like this one from Crate & Barrel and follow along….

Pizza Seasoning:
1/2 tsp Course Grind Garlic Salt
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp Fennel Seed
1/4 tsp Oregano (NOT Mexican)
1/4 tsp SunDried Tomato Flakes

Get it into your mortar & pestle and crush it…or just crush the fennel seeds and simply add it all to a jar. That’s it. Before I found my little spice jar, I kept it in a pimento jar with the recipe taped to the side. That way I could make more in a snap.
OK, sundried tomato flakes, ??? Yes, I found mine at W & S, but later I spied them at Target for WAY cheaper! This takes it up a notch and is soooo worth it – git some.

Notice anything missing? There are NO red pepper flakes in this. You can add that to individual recipes. Not everything Italian needs red pepper heat.
Mix this up and keep it close – your pizza rolls need it, home made pizza, pizza-meat, turkey meat that needs to taste like sausage, Ziti, Stromboli,… the list goes on and on !
Stay tuned and I’ll share my Poultry Seasoning mix too.
